GA Tech OMSCS
In March of 2018 I found out I had been admitted to Georgia Tech’s Online Master of Science in Computer Science program. As outlined in some of the articles linked below, it is an excellent program in many ways. In an abundance of enthusiasm I wrote a few blog posts on the subject. They became popular on the OMSCS subreddit and elsewhere, so I have continued to host that content here.
Since beginning OMSCS, changes in my career trajectory and increasing work responsibilities have resulted in very slow progress toward the degree. Within the next year I expect to transition into the OMS Analytics program instead, or possibly to discontinue progress toward a GA Tech degree entirely.
Regardless, I have had a very positive experience so far in OMSCS, and I am grateful to GA Tech for pioneering such an affordable and meritocratic degree program. I hope other universities will follow suit.
